Corona was no match for him

  Dr. Handoko Gunawan was born in Rangkasbitung on August 18, 1940. He completed his undergraduate medical studies at the University of Indonesia (UI) in 1963. Dr. Handoko Gunawan then continued his professional education at the University of Indonesia and completed it in 1965.

   After completing his professional studies, he only completed his specialist studies in 1981 at UI. He took a specialist Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine (Lung). After taking a specialist, he continued his practice in the Jakarta area. For 39 years, he has devoted himself to the field of lung disease.

   Dr. Handoko Gunawan is recorded as practicing at two hospitals in the Jakarta area. The two hospitals are Graha Kedoya Hospital in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta and Pantai Indah Kapuk Hospital in Penjaringan, North Jakarta. Dr. Handoko Gunawan also opened a practice at the Metropolitan Medical Center Hospital in South Jakarta. He is also listed as a member of a professional organization at the Indonesian Doctors Association and the 

  He was one of the doctors assigned to join patients with the Corona virus. Even though he was approaching 80 years old, he still eager to treat patients with this virus to become this pandemic. Even though most of the other young doctors were afraid to jump in, he was still excited. He has also been warned by his children not to force himself, but he remains steadfast to become a medical worker. He also came to his children, that he was willing even though he had to die. 

   According to news circulating, he continued to work until 3am. Until because of this, he had to be treated at the ICU because of fatigue and shortness of breath. But, there was no news that gave information about the cause of his shortness of breath. But luckily, the latest news explains that the situation is now starting to improve.
